We have tried to make The Contact Lens Shop as easy as possible to use.
If, however there are areas that you do not understand you may find some clarification in one of the sections below. If you can't find the answer here (or in our FAQ section),
please email us and we'll do our best to get back to you quickly.
The aim of this site is to conveniently supply replacement contact lenses at lower prices than would find on the High Street. We are therefore assuming that you are already using a particular type and a particular brand. We only sell the most popular brands.
To locate your normal brand:
- Firstly, click on one of the buttons on the left e.g. 'Daily Disposables'.
- Then click on the picture of the brand you normally use. e.g. 'Acuvue'.
- Usually there is only one product per brand but if there is more than one, they will be underneath each other on the page. Using the scroll bar on the side of the screen, move to the product you normally use.
If you need help, or you have a question which may be covered in our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section, just click on the buttons near the top of the page and a new window will appear over the top of the website enabling you to move backwards and forwards between the site and the information window. To close the window just click in the corner as usual.
To get back to the opening screen just click on the 'Home' button (or on the logo at the top of the page).
We sell the UK's most popular Contact Lens products, and hopefully by following the steps shown above you are able to locate the product you normally use. If you are unable to find the product you normally use please email us with as much information as you can find about the product (the details should be on the box) and we may be able to supply these too at our special The Contact Lens Shop prices.
We have taken steps to make the ordering process as simple and as secure as we can. Orders can be made on-line at a time and a pace to suit you. The real advantage of ordering on-line is that you, the customer, can choose, when to order, what to order and how many without any pressure from anyone. If you do not wish to order on-line or for some reason you cannot, we can take orders by email, or by phone (Freephone 0800 78 33 201) or by fax (Freefax 0800 78 33 073). The phones are usually manned during normal UK office hours. Please note that non-online orders will attract a shipping charge of £2.99 per order (for UK orders).
The online ordering process is simple:
- Select the item you wish to order
- Complete the prescription information for both eyes. (If you are not in possession of your prescription you may find the details you need on the packaging of your lenses).
- Click in 'Add to Cart'. This will take you to the confirmation page
- To continue shopping, click on 'Continue'
- Or to go to the Checkout areak, click on 'Checkout'
- Complete the address information requested
- Choose your payment method
- For Credit Cards, a grey rectangle will appear. After a few seconds it will clear leaving some input boxes. This is the securely encrypted part of the site. Input the information requested.
- The order is then complete. Print off your receipt.
- Then (if we don't already have a copy) fax, post or scan/email a copy of your 'Contact Lens Specification' so our optician can verify your order prior to despatch.
After you have ordered, you should receive a confirmation email from us.
